Knox County Schools Classified Employees are Educational Aides, Cafeteria Workers, Janitors, School Resource Officers, School Office Staff. Tonight the School Board set a timeline for Superintendent search. On December 2, 2021 there will be various stake holders meetings with TSBA TN School Boards Association search team. The meeting for Classified Employees is 1:30 p.m., Elementary Schools close at 2:45 pm, I assume they don’t get out of their individual schools till 3:15-3:30 pm. Middle and High Schools close at 3:30 pm, I assume they don’t get out until 4-4:15 pm.

The Classified Employees have gotten the least raises over the years with the exception of this year. They are the ones the board ignores, in my opinion from my observation and as a School Board Member many years ago.
