Williamson County, TN Republicans Chose Bill Lee

Williamson County Republicans held a straw poll tonight according to this Tennessean story. Bill Lee received 153 of the 243 total votes cast; State Senator Mae Beavers received 63 votes. Lee and Beavers both gave speeches before the straw poll.

Former TN Economic and Community Development commissioner Randy Boyd, U.S. Rep. Diane Black, R-Tenn., or House Speaker Beth Harwell, R-Nashville, who are considering entering the race and were included in the poll but did not attend or give a stump speech. Black garnered 16 votes, Harwell 8 and Boyd 4.
