Write-In Campaigns have been difficult in the past because of the ‘spin the dial’ voting systems. It has been primarily for comical, tribute or protest speech.

I’ve enjoyed giving you a sampling of those votes for years.

However, I got to thinking yesterday, what keeps someone from waging a write-in campaign, signs and campaign activity that says Write In – – – – – – – – – for office of choice.

My understanding is that there is a deadline to inform the Election Commission that you want your write-in votes to count.
