One hundred years ago today, Tennessee cast the ratifying vote to create the Nineteenth Amendment. Giving women the Right to Vote.

In this day and age, it’s hard to imagine that women and people of color were treated as unequal and/or treated and traded as property but it is our country’s past. Let us never return to that era and practices, let us celebrate equality today and everyday.
