$10k plus in Vandalism at Bexhill Community Construction Site

Bexhill Subdivision and the field have a long history. Mr. Bill Weigel first owned the property, the neighbors picketed his store at Bluegrass Road and Ebenezer Road (now Marcos Pizza). He got rid of the property and Home Federal Bank owned it. It was actively (under contract) for sale for more than 15 years.

The listing agent fielded many, many calls over the last decade and a half about how the property should be mowed and trimmed, the agent and company always complied to be ”good neighbors”.

In the last year or so the property which has always been commercial was fought by the community on a sector plan and Use on Review. Ultimately it passed.

Now, the land began being cleared last week, over the weekend more than $10,000 worth of vandalism was committed to the construction equipment.

It’s not Ramsey and Sons Excavating’s fault, they are doing the job they are contracted to do. Over the weekend someone spray painted outside and inside the equipment.

A source has told me the property stakes have been pulled, so the Surveyour will be back out to place the stakes, which is more money.

Hopefully Sheriff Spangler and KCSO will review the property cameras on site and have someone or some people charged soon.
