Mannis and Rogero: Last night during Eddie MannisĀ remarks he talked about 7 years ago when he supported Madeline Rogero for Mayor and worked in her administration. He said that Rogero asked him not to run and support her and then he could run when she was done.

This morning, I learned Mayor Rogero would be have a press conference and I asked her about it

Burkhardt, Stair and Skinner: the three most energetic of the Mayor candidates. Both Burkhardt and Stair are the energizer bunnies, they are everywhere and are talking to everyone. Several of the points that Burkhardt has been talking about for several months, Mannis has began to work into his talk. Skinner arrived later than some, because of another event, when his time to speak came, he stepped out in front of the table and candidates.

Kincannon is warming up to the process, it is not easy to stand in front of groups of people that may or may not like you.

All 5 City Council at Large Seat C candidates attended, David Williams, Hubert Smith and Bob Thomas are most comfortable. Of course Smith and Thomas are broadcasters. Amelia Parker did not shy away in a specific answer saying “where I disagree with individuals that are fiscally conservative”. Midis is still finding her campaign style and her comfort.

City Council at Large Seat B: David Hayes did not shy away or shirk when a question about a previous arrest was asked. He explained what happened and that he was found not guilty on anything. Janet Testerman still proved to be comfortable as a candidate. This race has a long way to go to November 5, 2019.

City Council at Large Seat A: Lynne Fugate and Charles Lomax is the race that after awhile, you ask yourself what’s the difference? Fugate and LomaxĀ end up at different times saying I agree with the other. This race too will go to November 5, 2019 and things will change, I suspect.

City Council Fifth District: Charles Al-Bawi came out swinging last night, he said that his campaign is for the disenfranchised, the ones that have not had a Representative because they have been not at the table due to socio-economic or the neighborhood they live in. He said he grew up in the community and he and his wife are in Lonsdale, because they choose to be. Charles Thomas was more reserved, he emphasized his prior service on Council during the time when Bob BeckerĀ resigned and Daniel Brown was Mayor. This race too goes to November 5, 2019 and will likely change, I believe.
