Great afternoon celebrating service and partnership in Knox County! 🇺🇸

Honored to join Mayor Glenn Jacobs, Superintendent Jon Rysewyk, and several of our outstanding principals as Knox County Schools was recognized with a Salute to Service Award.

During the presentation, Mayor Jacobs highlighted:

  • KCS being named one of just 15 recipients nationwide of the Department of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award
  • Our collaboration on Operation Hero’s Hill, building tiny homes to support homeless veterans
  • The incredible impact of our JROTC programs across the district

Proud of the work happening across Knox County Schools—and grateful for the partnerships that help us serve students, families, and those who have served our country. 🇺🇸
