Great afternoon celebrating service and partnership in Knox County! 🇺🇸

Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, Knox County Schools Superintendent Jon Rysewyk, and several of the Knox Schools outstanding principals as Knox County Schools were recognized with a Salute to Service Award.

During the presentation, Mayor Jacobs highlighted:

  • KCS being named one of just 15 recipients nationwide of the Department of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award
  • KCS collaboration on Operation Hero’s Hill, building tiny homes to support homeless veterans
  • The incredible impact of KCS JROTC programs across the district

As a community we are proud of the work happening across Knox County Schools—and grateful for the partnerships that help KCS serve students, families, and those who have served our country. 🇺🇸
