The changes may come through the political coverage. Birmingham and his predecessor Bruce Hartmann are the ones the politicians would run too to cool the Editor Jack McElroy. Additionally, editorial endorsements of politicians has been made by a committee of McElroy, the Editorial Page Editor and the Publisher. Now with a Publisher out, it is McElroy and Barker. Will McElroy now oversee the operation of the weekly Shopper News? I can only hope.
