When the agenda was received this afternoon there is a blank line for the District 4 position on Knox County Board of Zoning Appeals. Garrett Holt has been serving in that position, he is eligible for reappointment . He is an announced candidate in the March 5, 2024 Republican Primary for Knox County Commission, Fourth District.

When I reviewed the agenda and saw the blank line, I contacted Holt and asked if he had withdrawn as a reappointed member. He replied that he had consulted and talked with many different people and he concluded that with the campaign approaching, it would be wise on his part to focus all of his time outside of family and professional life on the Republican primary campaign.
