Don Wiser was prosecuted since a 2012 “bust” of a DUI school called Concept in Safety located in Halls. After a two day trial and the prosecution admitting to a charge that they did not prove, the jury deadlocked and a mistrial was declared.

Wiser is a candidate for Knox County Commission Eighth District on August 4, 2016. Wiser’s challenger has served two terms, Knox County citizens approved two term limits in 1994.

A local newspaper article printed this morning revealed some legal moves that were kept from the jury. A commenter on the News Sentinel Facebook page noted that there is nothing like poisoning the jury aka jury tampering.
