“Breakout at the Plaza,” is a night of entertainment to benefit C.O.N.N.E.C.T. Ministries, and “I AM” the Voice of the Voiceless. These two mission-driven non-profits in Knoxville, Tennessee, provide a variety of services for all who need them. The executive directors are: Keira Wyatt and Vivian Underwood Shipe, respectively.

“Breakout at the Plaza,” will be the evening of July 24. 2021, from 6 – 10 p.m., at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, located at 401 W. Summit Hill Drive, in downtown Knoxville. Free parking for guests in the hotel garage.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for hospitality. Cash bars will be available. A delightful buffet dinner prepared by the hotel, is from 7-8 p.m., and the entertainment begins at 8 p.m. non-stop until 10 p.m.

Our Master of Ceremonies will be Mr. Michael Gill, of Bluegill Productions and KMA “Alive after Five” fame. He will start two hours of laughter and dancing and guide us through the evening. Seasoned & flavored vocalist Jeanine Fuller with eclectic blends of Soul, Funk, Blues,Jazz, R&B,Pop, Rock and Gospel. Local stand-up comedian, Alex Stokes (aka The Beer Comedian) will tickle our funny bones, with his comedy routine. John Rutherford, Pro-Audio Mobile D J’s, will play classic R&B music, from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, for dancing and romancing on the large dance floor.

Eight guests per table – safely distanced

Tickets are $75 individual, $135 per couple and a table of 8 of $500. Tickets can be purchased in person without a service charge at C.O.N.N.E.C.T. Ministries, located at 3615 MLK Jr., Avenue, or online here via Eventbrite. No tickets will be sold at the door. Special “Breakout at the Plaza,” overnight Saturday or weekend hotel rates are available for attendees. Call Crowne Plaza Hotel for rates. 865.522.2600.

Combining entertainment and helping these local non-profits is a great way to “breakout” from the pandemic.

This event is age 21 or over. Casual dress or to impress! No jeans or T-shirts.
