One of the areas weekly community throw away papers has a picture this week of the Knox County Republican Party Chair and Mayor Madeline Rogero at the Mayor’s budget presentation last week.

The Chair supported Republican Ivan Harmon in the Mayoral Primary election. After his loss, she jumped to Mark Padgett’s campaign. Now she is photographed with a very active Democrat who happens to have been elected Mayor of Knoxville.

The Chair advocates for partisan elections and is publicly critical of Republican County Commissioners that do not kowtow to her demand. At a recent Karns Republican Club meeting, the Chair said emphatically, “ALL ELECTIONS SHOULD BE PARTISAN!” Now here she is with a Democrat actively elected Mayor. Is this a bandwagon mentality, buddy hustling or just plain ole hypocrisy?
