Betty Bean has this story in tomorrow’s print edition of the Shopper about rumors that Alvin Frye’s Fountain City Exxon may be on it’s way out. While it is sad to see a local business have to move because the business doesn’t own the property, if you are a genuine Conservative work horse you respect the free market economy and encourage the sacrifice of all businesses. But if you are a Conservative show horse, you show up with a reporter that has a camera in tow and you profess to use your bully pulpit to rant and rave, but there’s nothing you can do. Bet you when the newest business opens and has a ribbon cutting, he will be there smiling for the camera. After all, he has become the ribbon cutting Mayor. Although, he criticized the previous Mayor for all the ribbon cuttings and professed never to become a ribbon cutter. Well, that flip flop position flip flopped.

Interesting that the Mayor also took the Knox County Law Director with him to have him provide legal advice. The citizens of Knox County elected him to represent the government. Now the precedent is set where one business has received legal advice, all businesses in Knox County and for that matter every citizen should call the law directors office and ask for similar legal advice that Frye received. The Knox County Law Directors office number is 865-215-2327 ask for David Buuck.
