The Center City Conservatives Republican club met Thursday April 24 at 6:30 pm at Marble City Baptist Church at 2740 Sutherland Avenue in Knoxville.

With the May 5, 2026 Knox County Republican Primary a little over a year away. We began with two of four County Commissioners of the seats up in 2026. Commission District 3, 7 at Large 10 and 11 are up for re-election or election. Commission Chair Gina Oster (District 3), Commission Vice Chair Kim Frazier (at Large 11) were the Speakers. Commissioner Rhonda Lee (District 7) had a previous engagement. at Large 10 is an open seat as Commissioner Larsen Jay is term limited and launched a campaign for Knox County Mayor on March 13. No announced candidate or campaign has begun for at Large 10.

Bernie Lyon was the second countywide race to launch for Knox County Sheriff on April 3 and Trustee Justin Biggs the third countywide race to launch for re-election on April 22.

State Rep. David Wright joined us (only the second day since the legislature adjourned for 2025) Also Doug Lloyd, candidate for Knoxville City Council Third District in 2025 attended the meeting, The Knoxville Primary is August 26 and the General is May 4.
