It is beginning to appear any potential candidate to oppose Mayor Madeline Rogero is drying up. At Large City Council Members George Wallace and Finbarr Saunders along with Fifth District Councilman Mark Campen may be unopposed as well. However, At Large Council Member Marshall Stair may face opposition. A couple names that have surfaced are Anthony Hancock or Evelyn Gill.

It seems Marshall’s close family relationship to E.W. Scripps stringer and constant Rogero critic Victor Henderson Ashe may be enough to challenge Stair. Stair has joined with constant Rogero critic Nick Della Volpe in bucking the Mayor’s pension solution. A couple of multipliers and Stair could have a long hot summer of trying to keep his seat.
