Last night online and today’s print edition, the weekly free newspaper Knox Focus has a Publishers Position column. The same headline, I don’t really think the two competing weekly free newspapers are working in concert with one another. Ît just seems odd.

While I am on the topic, I was disappointed to see former school board candidate turned newspaper contributor Sally Reid Absher leave out a major detail from a story that she contributed and was published today in the Focus. In reporting about former teacher, citizen Janie Norman speaking to the Knox County School Board last week. Absher left out that Norman is the spouse of former teacher, County Commissioner turned Dr. James. P. McIntyre, Jr.’s chief agitator Tony Norman. Maybe she didn’t realize. I will give her the benefit of the doubt. Practice makes Better.
