Cookie Crusaders is a group of volunteers that will be gifting our law enforcement officers. Last week was the first gifting to our Knox County Sheriff Dept., twenty two volunteers baked 3 dozen cookies each and together 155 goodie bags were delivered, with thank you notes, and balloons. This was an amazing and humbling experience. The officers were so grateful and many times it was said that they never have anyone do this for them.

As we all know our officers are under attack throughout this country. After much prayer Gina Oster felt led to do something to show our officers our gratitude for what they do daily for us. So that is when Cookie Crusaders was born. In November, thirty two volunteers are willing to bake more cookies and deliver them to the KPD. In December they will return to the Knox County Sheriff Dept. to finish up the KCSO officers and detectives.

We want to expand this to counties around Knoxville, and gift as many officers as possible. Start up funds are needed to purchase goody bags, balloons, ribbon, thank you notes, thank you cards and totes. Everyone that is involved with baking, packing, delivering and donating will have their names listed on the thank you cards. Our officers deserve to know they are appreciated, and we as a community care about them. I look forward to growing Cookie Crusaders with your help.
