This week, Democrat Lowe Finney ran as an Independent for Mayor of Jackson, TN. He lost miserably. Primarily because when you are a Democrat, when running as an Independent, you are recognized as what you are, a Democrat. Tennessee is Red to the dad gum Roots.

Now, would be the time for Madeline Rogero to begin to think about reaching out to some legit Republicans. Not the weekly out of focus newspaper, not the former delinquent tax attorney for the Trustee office. The TN GOP is now being led by Knoxvillian Ryan Haynes and the TN GOP Red to the Roots campaign is likely ready to take another Obama Disciple out just like former State Rep. GloJo and Lowe Finney.

When I think of the current Knox County Democrat Party, they are best represented in the character in the Earl Dibbs, Jr. music video “City Boy Stuck” with Dibbs representing the Republicans and the city boy as Cameron Brooks and the Democrats. So, enjoy.
