Commissioner Courtney Durrett, just a few weeks into her first term as County Commissioner discovered her young daughter had juvenile diabetes. September 2020, while some were fussing about the pandemic, Durrett’s family was struggling with disease that impacts or effect 1 in 10 people.

Durrett hatched an idea for her and Republican Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, a professional wrestler to a physical activity to bring awareness to the disease. Physical Activity is an effective way to help manage diabetes.

Before today November 20, 2024 Durrett has won three activities and Jacobs has won one. The first activity was a free throw contest at the Womens Basketball Hall of Fame, today they went back. Best out of 24 free throw shots, Durrett scored 6 as before, Jacobs scored 7 (he improved)

So now Durrett leads 3 wins to Jacobs 2.
