Yesterday at the Knox County Commission Meeting it was discussed that David Wright has resigned his position. He was elected on November 6, 2018 as the 19th District TN State Representative.
The Commission announced their intent to accept resumes and interview and hope to vote a replacement Commissioner either at the December work session so that the Eighth District will have a voting member at the December Commission Meeting.
Names that have surfaced so far, Richie Beeler, Phil Ballard, Rebecca Longmire, Terry Wilshire, David McCroskey, Michelle Westover, Krystal Gibson, Laura Cole and I am sure a plethora of others.
Kim Bailey’s name surfaced but it seems that she will pass on the appointment and seek the voters vote in 2020.
