Election Commission News and Notes as City of Knoxville Regular Election Early Voting Approaches

As of Wednesday, October 8, 2025, there are 98,083 active registered voters in the city of Knoxville that are eligible to vote in the 2025 City of Knoxville Regular Election. A breakdown of the number of active registered voters in each Knoxville City Council district is as follows:

1st District –        12,150

2nd District –       20,198

3rd District –       17,717

4th District –       19,788

5th District –       14,510

6th District –       13,720

TOTAL:             98,083

EARLY VOTING

Early voting begins Wednesday, October 15 at 12 p.m. at five (5) locations across the city of Knoxville.

The locations are:

  • DOWNTOWN â€¢ City County Building, Main level across from Circuit Court (400 Main Street)
  • WEST â€¢ Downtown West (1645 Downtown West Blvd., Unit 40)
  • EAST â€¢ Eternal Life Harvest Center at Five Points (2410 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.)
  • SOUTH â€¢ Meridian Baptist Church(6513 Chapman Highway)
  • NORTHEAST â€¢ New Harvest Park (4775 New Harvest Lane)

NOTE: The Knoxville Expo Center (5441 Clinton Highway) will open on Monday, October 20.

Hours are generally 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. There are a handful of exceptions to the standard hours, and all details can be viewed at www.knoxvotes.org.

The first day (Wednesday, October 15), and all Wednesdays, all locations will open at 12 noon. On those days, all locations except Meridian Baptist in south Knoxville will be open until 7 pm (Meridian will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesdays).

BALLOT

The 2025 City of Knoxville Regular Election will consist of five (5) races and a question (City of Knoxville Sales Tax Referendum).

Voters in Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 will have one City Council contest and the question on their ballot.

Voters in District 5 will only have the question on their ballot.

3rd QUARTER CAMPAIGN FINANCIAL DISCLOSURES

All eighteen (18) candidates from the 2025 City of Knoxville August Primary Election have a 3rd Quarter Campaign Financial Disclosure due on Friday, October 10, 2025. This disclosure will cover the period from August 17 to September 30, 2025.
