On Thursday, the Town of Farragut’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen, led by Mayor Ron Williams, convened to select a new alderman to fill the vacant seat left by the passing of Alderman David White on August 21. Six candidates—Reed Honken, Joe LeCroix, Sean Murphy, Kimberlie Parks, Brian Walker, and Greg Wiberley—each presented their case during a three-minute pitch to the board.

North Ward Alderman Alex Cain organized a candidate forum to allow the applicants to share their qualifications and vision for the town. Notably, Brian Walker was unable to attend due to travel for a family member’s memorial service, and Joe LeCroix did not appear at the forum.

Despite his absence, LeCroix garnered significant support, bolstered by 17 letters from South Ward residents sent to the remaining aldermen. This community backing influenced Vice Mayor Scott Meyer and Alderman Drew Burnette to support LeCroix. Mayor Williams also endorsed LeCroix, citing his six years of prior service as a town employee.

Joe LeCroix was selected to serve out the remainder of David White’s term and will be officially installed in office on October 9, 2025.
