The air was electric at Scrambled Jakes this afternoon as Third District Commissioner and Commission Chair Lady Gina Oster officially launched her 2026 re-election campaign. At 5:30 pm, a lively crowd gathered in the cozy, familiar setting of the beloved local eatery, buzzing with anticipation despite competing events across Knox County. Oster’s kickoff was a testament to her deep roots in the community and her unwavering commitment to serving the Third District.









The event was a who’s-who of Knox County politics, with former Knox County Mayor Mike Ragsdale introducing none other than current Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, who delivered a heartfelt endorsement of Oster, praising her dedication and leadership over the past three years. Oster then took the mic, her warmth and authenticity shining through as she introduced her family, including her two grandchildren, who beamed with pride from the front row..
