UPDATE: Cliff Rodgers, Knox County Administrator of Elections called me and after he reviewed the code and talked with the State of Tennessee Election Officials, as long as there are not advertisements on the top of the publications, it is not a violation. The State did encourage Mr. Rodgers to contact the newsprint editors. This question had not been asked before, so BrianHornback.Com continues being the watchdog for honorable government transactions.

A reader of BrianHornback.Com alerted me to a probable violation of electioneering within 12 feet of the voting booth at Farragut Town Hall. So, today at 9:45 a.m., 15 minutes BEFORE Early Voting began, I went to investigate.

I have notified Cliff Rodgers of my findings and this post. As soon as he informs me of the Election Commission’s actions, I will let you know.
