Knox County Clerk Foster Arnett sued Knox County Public Building Authorrify without following the Knox County Charter provisions. Sources indicate that he was supposed to seek County Commission advice and consent before filing such litigation.

Arnett is seeking monetary damages for what his lawyer and he contend is the presence of toxic mold in the old courthouse where his office space is assigned by the County Mayor. Knox County sought an independent third party study of the conditions of the office space. The report disputes Arnett’s assertion.
