Jack and Vivian Slaughter I can not remember what year i first met them. But they lived in a subdivision off Northshore near Westland Drive. They were also at the Concord Precinct Republican reorganizations every two years.
Jack had fold me a GOP license plate they had on the front of their car had gotten stolen or something. They were not available anymore. I had one and i took it to him, he was happy.
Most every Republican event, I could count on Jack and Vivian to be there. As someone who always arrives early, i could always count on Jack and Vivian being there or getting there about the same time. So we could talk and Jack could catch me up on a new joke or a couple of old ones.
Last year or two, Jack has been fighting health issues, he would smile but shake his head and i knew it was bad.
Jack earned his healing wings and has passed. Y’all pray for Mrs. Vivian, she will miss her buddy Jack.
Jack you are a Great Man, a Great Friend, I am going to miss you my ole friend.
