Yesterday afternoon, at Calhoun’s on the River … Knox County Criminal Court Judge Emily Abbott held her Campaign Fundraiser and Kickoff. It was well attended by both sides of the bar … prosecution and defense.

Abbott was appointed in August by TN Governor Bill Lee to fill the bench left vacant by Judge Steven Sword’s appointment and rise to the Court of Criminal Appeals.

Abbott … a Prosecutor most recently in Anderson County … prior to that in Sevier County.

Abbott will be on the May 5, 2026 Republican Primary ballot … Early Voting April 15-30.
