Floyd Allen Dalton, Jr. Age 51 was captured just inside Anderson County this evening by Knox County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Detectives.  Dalton has been the target of a search since firing on a KCSO Patrol Officer just after 11:00 am this morning.  Dalton who already had outstanding warrants faces additional charges which will be forthcoming.  Additionally, Dalton was found with an accomplice who will be identified and charged as well. 

Sheriff Tom Spangler commends the efforts by KCSO deputies and detectives to locate and take Dalton into custody without further incident.  He’s also very thankful the deputy wasn’t injured in the incident this morning.  Sheriff Spangler appreciates the assistance by Anderson County Sheriff Russell Barker and his deputies this evening.
