Republican Tennessee State Senator Dr. Richard Briggs kicked off his 2022 re-election campaign. I provided coverage here and it included this fifteen minute plus or minus video of the speeches.

However it was this comment in his speech that generated some emotion. I do not think he is saying people should not be welcomed to move here. I interpreted what he was saying in that people from New York or California shouldn’t move here and then wanna take things over (by being elected) and make our community what it was they came from. #Don’tNewYorkmyKnoxCountyTN

People say that Brian Hornback is from around here (Knox County) (I heard it recently on a podcast, not my podcast) My response is you are #*%& right, I am.

During my term on the Knox County School Board (2000-2004) the first couple of years, I served with a member that would regularly say well where I am from we did it this way. I would always think and a time or two would say, the interstate you came on, will take you right back.

Now, in this day and age that may sounds closed minded and a tad old school. Well, I am. old school and potentially on some things closed minded.  If it offends you or yours, then the first amendment allows you to disagree with me and I am totally okay with that.
