This morning out at Central High School Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs presented his budget to the citizens of Knox County.

Later, I will post his entire presentation. However, right now I am posting about the salary increases.

All Knox County Schools Employees, (Certified and Classified) are receiving a 3.5% raise. It is what the School Board asked for.

The Knox County sheriff asked for 8% and Mayor Jacobs is proposing an “approximate 6%” raise. The details are that Officers from Captain down will receive a 6%, all other KCSO will receive a 2-2.5% plus a step, which is close to a 2.5-3% raise.

Then all other Knox County Employees Will received a 2% plus a step, according to Mayor Spokesman Rob Link.
