The Knox County Republican Party is excited to welcome Scott Jennings to Knoxville on August 28, 2026 !  A Kentucky native, Mr. Jennings served as special assistant to the president and deputy director of political affairs under President George W. Bush. He was also a longtime adviser to U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky. He worked on campaigns for Bush, McConnell and former Kentucky Gov. Ernie Fletcher and is the founder of RunSwitch Public Relations in his home state.

Mr. Jennings is a columnist for the Louisville Courier-Journal, a frequent on-air contributor at CNN and a member of the Los Angeles Times editorial board.

The Reagan Day Gala will be held 6-8:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 28, at Bridgewater Place.
