Knox County Republicans Reorganize, Herrera Elected Chair

The Knox County Republican Party Reorganized this morning at The Crown College in Powell.

Daniel Herrera was elected Chair over Harry Brooks 242 votes to 141 votes.

Former Knox County Commissioner Elaine Davis was elected without opposition as was Treasurer Janice Crye. Vice Treasurer Steve Weiner was challenged by long time activist Broadus Hubbs. Hubbs was nominated from the floor. Weiner was elected 156-58. Rob Gray was elected Secretary. He was challenged by Christy Gentry who was nominated from the floor, the vote was 109-69.
