At tonight’s Knox County School Board, the Tennessee School Boards Association presented and the board accepted three candidates. WBIR had a list last week of 18 candidates, a report out of tonight’s meeting is that three withdrew. I have requested from TSBA the packet and finalists information. TSBA Director Dr. Tammy Grissom has informed me that I will receive it in the morning.

The candidates in no order is Dr. Jon Rysewyk, assistant superintendent and chief academic officer at Knox County Schools. I was able to sit down with Dr. Rysewyk yesterday to get to know him and talk about his experiences and leadership style. More on that in later posts, I am sure.
