This year, five school board positions were up for election. Patty Bounds, Terry Hill were unopposed and re-elected. Lynn Fugate who did not seek re-election was replaced by Virginia Babb. Gloria Deathridge who did not seek re-election was replaced by Evetty Satterfield. One term School Board Member Amber Rountree was replaced by the voters of South Knoxville by parent volunteer Kristi Kristy.
