In what was a surprising informative session compared to the session with the Knox County School Board. The members of the TN State Senate and State House (that represent Knox County) had a zoom session with the Knox County Commission this morning.

Commission Chairman Larsen Jay led the discussion through a two page 10 point interest list that the Commission approved. Jay did defer to Commissioner John Schoonmaker on a couple of the points.

Most interesting was when Senator Dr. Richard Briggs said he didn’t know who Knox County had in Nashville, but that Knoxville has Tony Thompson.

Stephen Susano, the brother of Circuit Court Clerk Charlie Susano has been the registered lobbyist for Knox County since October 2018. Before the session ended, Senator Becky Massey informed everyone of that information. You can watch the entire meeting here

You would think that Susano would have been on the call.
