Knox County Democratic Chairman Stuart Hohl joined several speakers at Tuesday’s Knoxville City Council Public Forum, signaling support for a Saturday protest targeting former President Donald Trump, U.S. immigration policy, and the role of ICE. The event aligns with a broader, nationally organized wave of demonstrations.

While Knox County Republicans have often faced criticism, it’s worth noting that none of the last three GOP Chairs—Randy Pace, Daniel Herrera, or Buddy Burkhardt—ever promoted protests against President Biden or federal policy.
