One of the finalist for Director of Knox E-911 in the Fall of 2019 has recently filed a lawsuit in Federal court for not getting the job. Jennifer Lanter White (the 911 Director in Loudon County) has filed a suit alleging she is more qualified than Brad Anders and I presume Richard Holbert.

Anders was hired by a 9-0 vote in the fall of 2019. That would have left Holbert and White as the finalist.

If my memory serves me correctly, there were at least two females on the E911 board, Former Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero and KPD Chief Eve Thomas.

It is my understanding that White had filed an EEOC complaint sometime after Anders was hired in 2019. I suspect that an answer was received and this is her next step.

I suspect a reasonable person could conclude that the Loudon County gig must not be to her liking.

It is my understanding that she is the wife of Lenoir City Police Chief Don White.

I would say if this involved the Knox County Law Department, the likelihood of them settling and writing a check is a high probability. However, I do not believe the KCLD handles the legal matters of the E911, so I will watch this one play out.
