Yesterday Knoxville voted, In District One Stephanie Welch was elected over Rebecca Parr. In District Two Andrew Roberto was elected over Wayne Christensen. In District Three Seema Perez won over James Corcoran. In District Four, Lauren Rider won over Harry Tindell and write-in Amelia Parker and in District Six Gwen McKenzie won over Jennifer Montgomery.

Congratulations to All.

Now, City of Knoxville residents and voters can begin the twenty four month countdown to the end of Mayor Rogero’s term and the campaigns to replace her. Also, in 2019 the fifth district seat and three at large council positions will be up for election and all incumbents are term limited.

My prediction is that Amelia Parker may return in 2019 as an at large candidate.
