Lundy, Durrett, Ward and Hill Orientated to Knox County Commission

Dr. Dasha Lundy, Courtney Durrett, Kyle Ward and Knox County School Board Member Terry Hill had two full days Wednesday and Thursday with Knox County Commissioner Orientation.

The newly elected (August 6) County Commissioners heard from various county departments about what the departments do prior to these four folks officially becoming County Commissioners on September 1.

The two day session was put together by Commission Chairman Hugh Nystrom and at Large Commissioner Larsen Jay.

I popped in on Wednesday as the TN Open Records Counsel Office presented via the internet and Public Records and Open Meetings law. Interestingly enough the presenter informed them that text and emails on personal devices can be used as open records as communications in their capacity as County Commissioners.
