Knoxville Center Mall, I mean East Towne Mall, it will always be East Towne Mall to me will have 4 more stores closing inside the structure. Hollister will be closing Saturday, Jan. 3. Rack Room Shoes on Jan. 15. Aeropostale and Gymboree on Jan. 27. The Toys R Us out on the perimeter of the Mall property had already announced their departure a few weeks ago. I haven’t been in East Towne in a while but what could be left but the Paul Kelley School of (Nevermind). Anyway, maybe the city can just go ahead and buy East Towne tear down the Colisieum and move all the events at the auditorium and Colisieum over to East Towne, creating a performance and event center.

Over in Maryville, TN the Foothills Mall Aeropostale is closing as well.
