Victor Ashe in his weekly column this week, for some reason only identifies four candidates for Knoxville Mayor in 2019. He identifies, Marshall Stair (his obvious favorite), Indya Kincannon, Eddie Mannis and Mike Chase. Granted the former Mayor has not been a acting in a journalist role as long as yours truly, but his research like many of his column facts are lacking. He missed this one, John Bevil.

Bevil is known through the nearly 100,000 member Knoxville Copwatch Facebook group. Additionally, he has found an audience on several social media groups and pages and as a candidate should be treated and reported like all the others. BUT, we know that is NOT the Ashe M.O. (modus operandi) and the Knoxnews brass never appear to hold him to any level of journalistic standards as evidenced by his coverage of the August 2, 2018 Republican primary for the TN Second District US House of Representatives race.
