On Monday TN State Senator Mark Pody R-Lebanon had a political fundraiser at Knoxville’s Buddy’s Banquet Hall.

Over the weekend, it had considerable main stream media attention from WBIR and the daily paper. I have talked with several people that attended the event and they report to me that, it was well attended and successful.

I am told the connection to University of  Tennessee President Randy Boyd and  Senator Pody is that both have worked to greatly improve the relationship between the University and the TN General Assembly.

From the people I talked to that attended on Monday. It seems the media attention on the fundraiser may have actually helped make the fundraiser more successful.

Congressman Tim Burchett attended and spoke publicly for Pody and made remarks about politicians being and standing for what they believe and the attacks by the daily paper.
