Sidewalk Coming to the Fifth District along Bluegrass Road

Back in March Knox County Engineering and Public Works hosted a Community meeting about one mile of sidewalk along the North side of Bluegrass Road. One mile from Bluegrass Elementary School to the Augusta Hills Subdivision entrance. The last subdivision just before the Pellissippi Parkway.

The North side of Bluegrass Road from Hart Road to Ebenezer Road is in the Fifth Knox County Commission district. The South Side of Bluegrass Road from Hart Road to Ebenezer Road is in the Fourth Knox County Commission district.

The reaction of the residents that were present while I was there, appeared to be skeptical of the need and with the cross walks from the South side neighborhoods to the sidewalk. Vehicle speed on Bluegrass Road is still a concern for the citizens I heard from while I was there.
