The daily paper through their employees the former Mayor of Knoxville and newly relocated Missourian Allie Fienberg reported that Knox Democrat Chair Matt Shears says that the Democrats were not engaged in partisan politics in the recently completed City of Knoxville election.

On August 4, 2022 Debbie Helsley lost her challenge to Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs. On January 2, 2023 here it was reported that Helsley announced a campaign for Knoxville City Council at Large Seat B. On April 1, 2023 here it was reported that she was elected as Secretary of Knox County Democrat Party.

Now, I learn that Chair Matt Shears is pulling up his roots and headed across the Mountain to North Carolina after the first of the year. Who will Mayor Ashe and Reporter Feinberg talk to now and believe everything hook, line and sinker?
