On February 1, 2016 Knox Co Mayor Tim Burchett filed a campaign finance disclosure with the Knox Co Election Commission. According to that campaign financial disclosure a payment was made to a firm called Elite Technology Group for his website. It is believed as you will see below that Elite Technology Group is a Lenoir City, TN firm.

There is no date for the payment, it also lacks the detailed data that the form requests. If the financial disclosure is in chronological order, the Mayor’s chili dog event was around December 11, 2015, according to media reports. The payment to Elite was just before the payment for the chi dog event. The ElectBurchett.Com domain expired and was purchased in late April 2016.

In 2012, Mayor Burchett was required to be represented by counsel over alleged irregularities for 2010 campaign finance disclosures. Those allegations were brought by Pam Strickland, a free lance writer published in the Knoxville News Sentinel.

Of course what a lot of people miss is that this campaign finance incident was not Burchett’s first campaign finance alleged irregularity. On 2/14/2007 Director Drew Rawlins presented a cross indexing report where Burchett failed to report a couple PAC contributions.

Then on June 11, 2008 again Burchett appeared on the cross indexing report for failing to report 3 PAC contributions. He faced a $10,000 civil fine.

So, cue the Burchett defense, “he don’t like me.” If taking public documents and shining the light for the public makes him feel that I don’t like him. So be it. I report what the doxuments say and let the public decide. It is the role of a Watchdog, he only thinks its hostility. As for any prayers offered for me real or flippantl, I appreciate them.
Also, let it be noted that I served as Chairman of the Knox County Republican Party from March 2005 until March 2007. During a time that Burchett benefitted from the leadership I provided during his 2006 campaign. Surely not someone I would, “not like”
