at the Spring Meeting of the Tennessee Republican Party State Executive Committee on March 21, 2026 in Mr. Juliet, TN the CommunicAtion sub committee brought a Resolution Honoring Charlie Kirk. It passed unanimously, without opposition.

The sub-committee led by SEC Committeewoman Linda Buckles as chair, Also have two Knox County SEC Committeemen on it, Sheriff Tim Hutchison of District 5 and Kent Morrell of District 7!, both are not seeking re-election in August 2026.

Resolution honoring Charlie Kirk

WHEREAS, Charlie Kirk, 31 years old, founder of Turning Point USA, a devoted husband, father, son and brother, was tragically assassinated on September 10, 2025 while speaking at Utah Valley University;

WHEREAS, His legacy of empowering young conservatives and giving them a voice on campuses needs to live on;

WHEREAS, He promoted free speech, limited government and individual liberty; and

WHEREAS, He dedicated his life to inspiring and teaching millions of young Americans;

RESOLVED, We the Tennessee Republican Party State Executive Committee acknowledge the important work performed by Charlie Kirk and are in gratitude for his efforts to inform and inspire young Americans on traditional American beliefs in God, faith, family, common-sense education and Judeo-Christian principles inherent in the constitutional government established by our Founding Fathers; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Tennessee Republican Party State Executive Committee honor and reflect fondly upon his impeccable character and his stalwart commitment to living the examined life with courage and conviction and extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, children, parents, family, and many friends as we offer our prayers and unwavering support for continuing the causes Charlie Kirk championed for Christ and Country.
