When I spoke Saturday September 7, 2024 as a member of the Tennessee Republican Primary Board before we voted on the Rep. John Ragan challenge on the 258 Republican vote win of Republican Rick Scarbrough.

The first point I made is there is a provision to challenge known Democrats from voting in Republican primaries (or Republicans voting in the Democrat primaries) it is by having poll watchers at Early Voting centers or Election Day Voting precincts. They are challenged before cast a vote with the election officers having to decide before the vote is cast. The County Executive Committees through the Party Chairs authorize the poll watchers.

The second and last point I made was the August 22, 2024 State Affairs report that on Election Day August 1, 2024, Rep. John Ragan was not in his house district of Anderson County, but instead was in Nashville. the article is below.
