Patrick Birmingham’s departure from the Big Metal Shed on the Hill is bad for the weekly Slopper News.

In Sandra Clark’s column tomorrow (Wednesday January 25, 2016) she says that Joe Bailey is gearing up to run for Knox County Republican Party Chairman with the support of courthouse heavy weights. I talked to Bailey around lunch time today and he said he doesn’t have the time. As a businessman and father of three young elementary school children, he does not have the time.

As for a second of her third comments she reports Knox County Sheriff is making noise about a run. Again, I hear a lot of political talk and an avid supporter of law enforcement. If he were to run for Mayor I would support him. However, her comment that Jones is making noise, I highly doubt that.

As for her third snipit, yes Roger Kane is not running for State Rep in 2018. So, Sandra got a base hit and she really needs a fact checker like Patrick Birmingham and stat.
