There Goes Victor Spouting Out His Ashe Again

Reported By

Reported On

In this weeks dribble by former Knoxville Mayor Victor Ashe he posts that the Democrats will field four Knox County School Board candidates and could and may control 5 votes. He goes on to spout that the local Republican Party may regret the call for partisan elections.

Now, School Board ain’t City Council, I realize a school board seat or two include some city residents/voters/precincts and while Ashe likes to write about the political party (that nominated and elected his Mother so that in January 1975, he could replace her) and it’s current Chairman (Daniel Herrera) and while I am not a defender of either. Let me say that it was the TN Republican Party (which I am a State Executive Committeeman) that pushed the legislature to make School Board partisan elections. The state party encouraged all local Chairs to comply. So, the simplistic blaming the local party and Chair Herrera is another one of Victor spouting verbal spin out his Ashe.
